Introduction to Marketing Stack
It is 2020. Marketing has changed. Philip Kotler and his frameworks seem like driving a horse cart on an Autobahn. These old frameworks don’t work anymore. Nor have there been any solid frameworks in the last several decades although the external environment and most industries have been disrupted by technology.
Today, distribution is digital and highly decentralized. Everything is measurable. And most importantly, all marketing has to have a cause at its core. Also, everyone in the marketing team has to think like a CMO. Strategy cannot be separated from execution.
CMOStack is the only framework you need for designing your entire marketing setup.

One email per week. That’s it.

Why Marketing Stack?
Today, all marketing is cause-driven. And a cause is only as driven as the people supporting it.
Everyone in the marketing department has to think like a CMO, make decisions keeping a cause in mind, recruit and work with a tribe to further the cause, align the product goals to fit seamlessly, and execute at speed.
This framework keeps in mind these key changes in the workplace.
All marketing:
is going digital
is content-driven
has to have a cause
needs to be measurable and optimized for growth
Apart from this, distribution is getting more expensive by the day and there are more distribution channels than ever. To top that, each of these distribution channels is evolving fast.
Here is a framework for 2020.

What is Marketing Stack?
PS: This model is from my learnings as a marketer for over 17 years now. Learning from great marketing minds during my MBA to going deep into the trenches during my startup journey, this model comes from my experience as well as inspiration from some great marketing setups.
This is also inspired by the journey unfolding at WazirX and some best marketing stories in the making around us specifically RoamResearch and Bitcoin.
